Pahlawan Power Sdn Bhd ("Pahlawan") was incorporated as a private limited company in Malaysia under the Companies Act, 1965 on 24 August 1998 under the name of TNB Pahlawan Power Sdn Bhd. It subsequently changed to its present name on 7 January 1999.

Pahlawan’s authorised and issued paid-up share capital are RM4,000,000 comprising 4,000,000 ordinary shares of RM1.00 each.

In August 1999, Pahlawan acquired TKPS, a power plant at Tanjong Kling, Melaka from Tenaga Nasional Berhad for a cash consideration of RM740,000,000. TKPS is a combined cycle gas turbine power plant with a nominal capacity of 330 MW.

Pahlawan was awarded its Independent Power Producer concession licence on 26 May 1999 for a period of 21 years by the Director General of Electricity Supply to own and operate TKPS effective 6 August 1999.

Pahlawan assumed operations of TKPS on 6 August 1999.
