Powertek Group has established the following:

a) The first and third plants namely, TGPS 1 and TGPS 2 have jointly successfully achieved MS ISO 9001:2000 Certification for Quality Management System, ISO 14001:2004 Certification for Environmental Management System and OHSAS 18001:1999 Certification for Occupational Health and Safety Management System.

The second plant namely, TKPS has also successfully achieved its ISO 9001:2000 Certification for Quality Management System, ISO 14001:2004 Certification for Environment Management System and OHSAS 18001:2007 Certification for Occupational Health and Safety Management System.

b) Plant emergency response and business recovery plans. Preventive maintenance works and corrective action plans in the event of unscheduled outages.

c) Limits of Authority Manual which defines the authority limits conferred by the Board to certain categories of management for all capital, operational and contractual commitments, investment policies over placement of surplus funds and principal procurement policies and procedures.

d) Maintenance plans for both preventive and corrective works are carried out in line with prudent utility practices. Periodical operational tests including test on the safety related fire system, are also conducted.

e) Legal & Regulatory Framework. Effectively, it embodies a checklist of key compliances which requires the line management to self-regulate in respect of the legal, regulatory and commercial matters in their respective area of responsibilities.

f) The frameworks for Business Contingency Action Plan and Inventory Management to augment the risk management exercise.

g) On-going internal and external training are provided to the plant and head office personnel, to improve employee's technical and non-technical competence and skills.
