As a responsible corporate citizen, the Powertek Group has over the years made contributions to the community in which it operates and these included provision of public amenities and support for non-profit organisations that promotes to education, healthcare, welfare and sports.

Panglima sponsored the construction of a new, RM4 million jetty at Kampung Telok Gong for the local community. The jetty has several features such as breakwater, harbour basin and navigation channel. At full capacity, the jetty can berth 25 boats at any one time. Other facilities provided at the jetty area include a "surau", storage facilities for the fishermen as well as an open space, which can be used for other economic, social, religious and recreational activities by the community.

In December 2006, Powertek successfully handed over a fully-equipped multimedia library in Kg Telok Gong to the Melaka State Government.

Powertek has opted to make its contributions at the grassroots level by providing the opportunity for the local community to have access to tolls of knowledge including books and other educational materials in this library.

Perpustakaan Desa Telok Gong was constructed at a cost of RM250,000. Another RM100,000 have been spent to furnish and equip the library. This includes 10 personal computers equipped with internet facility, a printer, projector and fax machine to the library.

Powertek also contributed books and reading materials amounting to some RM50,000 to Perbadanan Perpustakaan Awam Melaka (PERPUSTAM) to populate the library.
