Powertek Group is mainly involved in the business of power generation.

The revenues of the Powertek Group are mainly derived from the available capacity and electrical energy produced by these power plants to its sole customer, Tenaga Nasional Berhad ("TNB") under their respective Power Purchase Agreements ("PPAs").

Pursuant to the PPAs, the Powertek Group receives Capacity Payments for the contracted dependable capacity and availability of the respective plants and Energy Payments for electrical energy generated.

Each PPA has a tenure of twenty one (21) years from the commercial operations date of the respective power plants which may be extended for up to three (3) additional periods of five (5) years each provided all relevant approvals and conditions of the PPA are met.

The power plants are powered by natural dry gas which is supplied by Petroliam Nasional Berhad. Distillate fuel is only used in the event that gas is not available.
